Understandably, the talk of the town at Mays iGaming North America conference was the DOJs Black Friday indictments and where they leave the US online gambling regulatory landscape.

The biggest online casino software provider has announced to launch a new 3d slot in June 2011. The gaming industry in general is moving to a more profound experience with 3d graphics. It is the intention of Microgaming to engage fully in this trend. Because Microgaming is the games / software provider of many online casinos, it is possible to play this slot at many sites. Hopefully they allow free play as well.

Jackpot City and All Slots will definitely offer the new 3d video slot. The theme of the game is based on an old fashioned fruit machine.

There have been some big changes this week over at Eurograndand not just at their live casino.

First Ill get the general stuff out of the way

  1. a cracking new site-wide overhaul; and
  2. a new bonus structure with up to €/$1,000 for your 1st deposit, €/$500 on your 2nd deposit (60% match) and €/$2,500 on your 3rd deposit (15% match);

Now the live casino related changes

More focus has been given to live games on the newly-launched site with a dedicated live dealer page containing direct links to load the each game in browser play format.

The other big change is the addition of a new roulette game (top left).  Its a totally new look live roulette version from Playtech, and Eurogrand are the only operator currently offering it.

Its a European roulette game with the same odds, payouts and bet options (neighbour bets easily accessed etc) as Playtechs standard live roulette game, and the dealers youll find sitting at the wheel are the same faces you see at the other Playtech studio tables. But th

Wow that was quick!

Just days after the Spanish Congress passed a new remote gambling law, and before the legislation has been published in the official gazette, it has been announced that the first license has already been awarded.

Casino Gran Madrid is the recipient.  They now hold a license from the autonomous region of Madrid to provide online poker and other casino games including roulette, blackjack and baccarat as soon as they can get them up and running.  And this shouldnt be too long.

Theyve already signed up Playtech as their software provider a deal that was struck back in 2009.  No doubt plenty of implementation planning has already taken place in anticipation of the new laws getting upthere are reports that beta testing of their new website and associated software is under way and that the games could be available to players within a month!

The Playtech deal will also give Casino Gran the option of including a range of live games, or TV games in their online casino suite an option that would be wise to consider given how popular live games are becoming in Spain (judging by the number of casinos tailoring games to Spanish players).

I wouldnt be surprised if the coming year saw an explosion in the number of live casinos in Spain.

Online slots tournament play and slots wagering are done on the same slot games; however, the objectives are quite different. Slots wagering is typically done with the player’s personal bankroll. If a player begins with a bankroll of $400 and has $450 by the end, they have won $50. In a slot tournament, a player pays an entry fee and places their wagers with a bankroll provided by the online casino site. The player may very well make a $1,000 bank roll out of a $300 starting bankroll, but may not win anything depending on the success of the other players in the tournament. B

In the good news category, many sites are still accepting U.S players and are seeing a slight influx of players since the shutdown.

Doyle’s Room and the poker room at Sportsbook, Play Aces, are both still accepting U.S. p
